Personal Branding & Reputation Management from a Leading Authority

Marketing, News 7 May 2011 | 0 Comments

What a busy few week’s it’s been! More than usual. And that saying something! I’m utterly chuffed that Staffordshire Marketing Academy have secured world renowned authority on personal branding and reputation management and networking pro – Rob Brown!

A former teacher, business man and more latterly, direct sales man, Rob decided to move away from corporate life and step out on his own. To grow his business he did a lot of networking. During a period of two years, he collected 987 business cards, went to 126 events, spent 200 hours shaking hands and £4385 on breakfasts, lunches, dinners and memberships.  He won NO business!

Rob reached a critical point of ‘financial urgency’ where he knew something had to change. He resolved to become an expert at networking.  It prompted him to learn everything he could on marketing and business relationships. In just 13 months, he multiplied his income by a factor of 15!

Rob now makes regular TV and radio appearances – including a special commission for ITV on who makes better business men, men or women? -  and delivers motivational talks internationally.

He has written over 40 publications on business relationships and reputations, including the best-selling “How to Build Your Reputation” and has spoken at events across the globe to over 250,000 people.

Like Staffordshire Marketing Academy, Rob’s work is dedicated to; helping you sell yourself, your stuff, your vision, your arguments and your ideas! Making you more engaging, trusted, liked, attractive and better connected. Giving you gravitas, influence, impact, credibility, mental toughness, greater advocacy and more sales.

To give you a little more insight of Rob here’s a couple of his thoughts on coming to speak to the Staffordshire business community…

“Times are tough. Working for yourself or even a small business can be a lonely place but what you learn on the 27th May will impact what happens to your business and what your bank account will look like in 3 months time.

“This event brings Staffordshire’s business community together, to help each other and create prosperity.

“These times we’re in are too risky for playing it safe. You have to take bold steps and be courageous in your conversations. That’s exactly what the Staffordshire Marketing Academy has done and now you need to do it too! Doing nothing is not an option.”

If you’d like to learn from to the world’s leading authority on personal branding, reputation management and networking…

…and enjoy a half day of education and inspiration around marketing strategy and planning, brand, web design, customer management, referral marketing and how to build relationships using social media and video technology you should book a seat.

Action for business: LIVE takes place at the Moat House, Festival Park. The event is designed to support established and start-up companies to encourage collaboration and raise the profile of Staffordshire as a whole.

It’s on Friday 27 May (just before the bank holiday weekend).

Over 60 Staffordshire based businesses have booked so far.

It’s a not for profit event.
